How to Choose Custom Kippahs for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah

Choose custom Bar or Bat Mitzvah kippahs by starting with the celebration's needs and the young person's preferences. Then decide the quantity, fabric, color, fit and personalization. A clear brief makes it easier to create a design that feels connected to the occasion.

Confirm the ceremony and celebration arrangements

Ask your synagogue or event organizer how kippahs will be used and distributed. Practices and arrangements can differ, so build your quantity around your event rather than a general rule about guests.

If the service and celebration happen on different dates, decide which date belongs on the kippah and when the delivery is needed. TopKippah custom bulk orders begin at 50 pieces. Tell us your planned distribution quantity and any extras you choose.

Choose a palette with a clear focal point

Bring together the invitation colors, event decorations and the young person's preferred style. Choose a main fabric color, then a contrasting or tonal embroidery color. Ask to review the combination instead of judging each color separately.

Our fabric guide can help narrow the options. Confirm the available shade with us, and consider a physical sample when the exact appearance matters. Online images do not guarantee a color match to another supplier's decorations.

Agree the fit before placing the bulk order

A preferred fit cannot be determined from the event name alone. Share a kippah you already like, describe how it sits and provide measurements with the measuring method. Discuss the production size before paying; do not assume a generic child or adult size label is enough.

Decide what goes outside and inside

The exterior might feature a monogram, a family-approved motif or your own event logo. The interior can carry the name, occasion, date and a short message. Keep one main design element outside so the artwork does not need to compete with several small details.

Send the exact spelling of names and any Hebrew text, along with a JPG or PDF logo file. Ask a trusted reader to verify supplied Hebrew wording and dates. We do not choose religious text or convert dates on your behalf.

Choose the right sample route for your decision

If you are still comparing the fabric or fit, a standalone sample lets you make that decision before a full order. It costs US$18 including worldwide shipping, one embroidered logo and one interior print, across all fabrics and sizes. The fee is not credited toward later bulk production.

If fabric and size are already confirmed, you can pay the full bulk-order amount and receive one free confirmation sample. During sample approval, embroidery and interior printing can be revised. Fabric and size cannot change after full-order payment because the fabric is cut together.
